2013 Blessed Chardonnay - Lt. Governor's Award for Excellence in Ontario Wine

Excellence in Ontario Wines were celebrated at Queen’s Park, Toronto on Wednesday September 7 with Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell honouring Exultet Estates, the sole winery from Prince Edward County along with several Niagara wineries.

Highlighting Ontario’s wine excellence for consumer appreciation as well as to edify and showcase Ontario wines to visiting dignitaries: “The general idea was to select… wine…that you or the Lt. Governor of Ontario would serve to anyone that shows up for dinner that represents the pinnacle of Ontario wine,” said Brent Peachey of Niagara College, “…wines that have to be good enough to pour for delegates from around the world.”


Exultet’s 2013 Blessed Chardonnay was the sole chardonnay honoured. Exultet’s 2011 Blessed Chardonnay was previously given the same honour in 2013.
